Review of LureEssentails Edge Firm and Flex Silicone Cups

This husband and wife owned American company has being supplying cups to the public since 2014. They are an industry leader and were the first to create user friendly silicone cupping kits for the body and face designed for both self care and clinical performance. These cups are manufactured to Lure's specifications and are made with their own molds. The Edge series is made with platinum cured medical grade silicone. This is the purest and cleanest form of silicone on the market. All cups are free from BPA, BPS, PVC, phthalates, latex, plastics and fillers. Lure is currently working hard to launch their EDGE cups in 380 CVS pharmacies within the USA. I respect a company who is attempting to challenge how people perceive their pain and to empower them with tools to help themselves. This company really knows their products and stands behind them. They have an understanding and a working knowledge of the materials used, and are completely aware of the manufacturing process. The outcome is a finished product of high quality and standards.

These professional quality cups are a firmer cup with ample suction and crystal clear transparency. I love the simplicity of these cups, no logo, nothing to take away from the cup itself. If you have never tried platinum cured medical grade silicone then its time to change that. The platinum within the silicone makes these more transparent than high quality food grade silicone. If you were to compare the two fresh off the press the difference may be minimal, but over time the food grade silicone will become cloudy. The platinum cured medical grade silicone will maintain its glass like transparency no matter how many times you use it, which makes these a lifetime purchase. It's also more flexible, which means it's more comfortable for the client and provides more control. The tactile sensation is different from any other cup, you just need to feel them for yourself. I use these often for static cupping with great results. They also excel at moving cupping because they provide wonderful feedback from the body. I often start out with moving cupping and when i feel an area that is restricted I'll leave a cup on the area for a while, so its nice not to have to switch cups to perform a different application. These cups let me work with the body at its own pace. They are literally an extension of our hands. I would highly recommend getting a double set or at minimum the set of 6 cups. You won't regret it.

These blue EDGE cups are Lure's signature color and top seller. They are much softer than the firm cups and great for moving cupping. They glide really well and are easy to manipulate. You can get maximum suction every single time. Soft cups are my "go to" when it comes to performing cupping therapy on a client for the first time. These fit the bill. They accommodate a softer suction and once a client gets used to the movement of the cup you can increase the pressure without compromising comfort. I love adding movement to my massages and I consistently add this to my cupping routine. The soft silicone makes these cups extremely flexible and capable of staying put when mobilizing the clients body. These are also an ideal set for those who are just learning cupping as they are extremely easy to compress and place on the body. They are also a great choice for those practicing with arthritic hands. When it comes to colored cups material is key. The platinum cured silicone makes these colored cups more transparent than most, but do pay extra attention if you're going to use them for static cupping. These are also great for self care. I can easily pop one of these onto my shoulder and get maximum suction effortlessly. One set of these just isn't enough. I think to truly get the most out of your cups you should at least have a double set to carry out different techniques. Besides, you can never have too many cups.
